TREMproof® 201/60

Fluid-Applied, Elastomeric Coal-Tar Free Waterproofing

Product Description

TREMproof® 201/60 is a high-solids, single-component, fluidapplied,
elastomeric waterproof membrane system. The system
is available in spray, roller or trowel grades and cures to form a
continuous, seamless, positively bonded elastomeric waterproof
membrane. TREMproof 201/60 is suitable for applications to
horizontal and vertical surfaces at 60 wet mils (T grade applied
up to 2").

Basic Uses

TREMproof 201/60 is commonly used between slab on plaza
decks, parking decks, roof terraces, podiums, and reflecting
pools where a standard 60 mil waterproofing membrane is
required. TREMproof 201/60 is also used for waterproofing
foundation walls and retaining walls. The TREMproof 201/60
System is an effective membrane for use on concrete, wood,
metal and masonry surfaces. TREMproof 201/60T can also be
used as an accessory product to the Paraseal HDPE/Bentonite
waterproofing system in detailing transitions in plane, around
penetrations, etc.

Applicable Standards

Conforms to the performance requirements of ASTM C836.

Installation

Surface to be waterproofed must be clean and dry. Concrete
slabs should have a light steel trowel followed by a fine hair
broom or equivalent finish. Concrete decks should be water
cured, and in place a minimum of 14 days, preferably 28 days
prior to the application of the membrane. Following good
drainage practice, the structural slab should be sloped to drain
a minimum of 1/8” (3.2 mm) per running foot (30.5 cm). All
shrinkage cracks shall be treated with a 60 mil (1.5 mm) coating
of TREMproof 201/60, six inches (15.3 cm) wide centered over
the crack. Moving structural cracks greater than 1/16”
(1.6 mm) can be routed out and caulked with TREMproof
201/60T, stripped with bond breaker tape and coated with a
60 mil (1.5 mm) detail coat of Membrane, or treated with
Tremco DualFlex embedded in membrane, centered over the
crack.
At all horizontal-vertical junctures and all projections, a one
inch (2.54 cm) cant of TREMproof 201/60T shall be installed.
Integral flashing shall be installed to the height indicated on the
drawings.
At expansion joints and other areas of potential high
movement, Tremco DualFlex embedded into the membrane
may be required. Consult your local Tremco Representative or
Distributor for specific design details.
All detailing must be cured a minimum of 12 hours prior to the
application of the membrane. Detailing should be wiped clean
with Xylene prior to the application of the membrane.
TREMproof 201/60 shall be spray, roller, squeegee or trowel
applied at the rate of four gallons per 100 square feet
(1.63 liter /square meter) to provide a thickness of 60 mils
(1.5 mm).

A Flood Test should be run; the membrane should be cured to a
firm rubber set (36 hour minimum) before flooding. Flood with
a minimum of one inch (2.54 cm) of water for 24 hours.
Where protection against damage by the Trades is necessary,
install an approved protection sheet or TREMDrain drainage
material as soon as the membrane is a firm rubber.
